95 PAGES The Small Business Growth SOP — cover

You don't have a marketing problem. You have a sequencing problem.

Nearly every small business that concludes "digital marketing doesn't work" made the same mistake — they started in the wrong place.

They ran ads before they knew what a customer was worth. They chased traffic to a website that didn't convert. They posted on five platforms because it was free, and measured none of it. They spent money for six months, couldn't tell which half worked, and stopped.

None of that is a failure of effort. It's a failure of order. The unglamorous work — knowing your numbers, fixing your measurement, tightening your message — is what makes everything after it profitable. Skip it and marketing stays expensive forever.

The most profitable decision in marketing is usually the decision to turn something off. You just have to be able to tell which thing.

This is not a book about marketing.

It's the set of standard operating procedures a marketing team would follow — written so one person with no marketing background can run them.

NOT A BOOK

Procedures, not theory

You don't read it cover to cover and feel inspired. You open SOP 01, follow eight numbered steps, and finish with a number written down that changes how you spend money.

NOT A COURSE

Nothing to log into

No drip schedule, no platform that disappears when a subscription lapses, no 40 hours of video. A PDF and a Word file you own, that work on a plane.

NOT A PITCH

Genuinely complete

Every procedure is here in full. Nothing is held back to force a consultation. One page at the back mentions what we do — you can ignore it entirely and the system still works.

What's inside

Five parts, in the order you should actually do them. Part One costs nothing to complete and decides how well every dollar after it performs.

PART ONE

Know Your Numbers

Turn marketing from a gamble into arithmetic. Nothing here costs money.
  • SOP 01Build Your Growth Math — the maximum you can pay for a customer
  • SOP 02Define Your Best Customer — from actual profit, not aspiration
  • SOP 03Write Your Core Message — the sentence that makes a stranger stay
  • SOP 04Audit Your Current Presence — a scored baseline of what people see
  • SOP 05Install Your Measurement Stack — connect money out to customers in
PART TWO

Build the Assets

Fix what prospects find when they arrive, before you pay to send more of them.
  • SOP 06Make Your Website Convert — page by page, element by element
  • SOP 07Claim and Optimise Your Local Listings — the highest-return free asset
  • SOP 08Build the Review Engine — reviews as a routine, not a good intention
PART THREE

Get Found

Five channels — and the discipline to run one properly before adding another.
  • SOP 09Keyword and Demand Research — sorted by intent, not volume
  • SOP 10Run the Content Engine — a production line, not bursts of enthusiasm
  • SOP 11Run Google Search Ads — setup, plus the weekly hour that decides everything
  • SOP 12Run Paid Social Ads — and how to tell if it suits you at all
  • SOP 13Run Organic Social — with honest expectations about what it does
PART FOUR

Capture and Convert

Where most small businesses lose more money than any ad account ever costs them.
  • SOP 14Build Lead Capture and Offers — for the people who aren't ready today
  • SOP 15Install Speed to Lead and Follow-Up — the highest-return procedure in the manual
  • SOP 16Run Email and SMS — the only channel you actually own
PART FIVE

Run the System

Marketing fails from inconsistency far more often than from bad decisions.
  • SOP 17Set the Marketing Calendar — weekly, monthly and quarterly routines
  • SOP 18Build the Scoreboard — the few numbers that trigger decisions
  • SOP 19Test and Improve — including what to do when traffic is too low to split-test
  • SOP 20Budget, Scale, and When to Hire — all three have arithmetic answers
APPENDICES

Reference

Keep these beside you while you run the procedures.
  • AThe Master Checklist — every definition of done, on one printable list
  • BTemplates and Swipe Copy — review requests, follow-ups, ad structures, headlines
  • CTool Stack by Budget — zero-budget, modest, and larger stacks
  • DGlossary — every term used, in plain language

Every single SOP contains all six of these

This is what makes it a system you can run instead of advice you have to interpret.

Meta strip

Who owns the task, how long it takes, how often it repeats, and how essential it is.

Numbered steps

The actual procedure. Follow it top to bottom. No interpretation required.

Worked example

Real arithmetic with real numbers, so you can copy the pattern with your own.

Common mistake

The specific failure that wastes the most money in that procedure, called out.

Worksheet

Fill-in space so every answer you produce lives in one document.

Definition of done

A checklist. Every box ticked, move on. Not ticked, don't. No ambiguity.

Look inside

Real pages from the manual — not mockups.

Who this is for

Buy this if…

  • You run a small business and marketing keeps losing to whatever is on fire today
  • You've spent money on ads or a website and can't say what it produced
  • You want a system you can hand to a staff member and have them actually follow
  • You're about to hire an agency and want to know your own numbers first
  • You'd rather have twenty procedures than two hundred pages of theory

Don't buy this if…

  • You want a done-for-you service — this is a manual you execute yourself
  • You're looking for a growth hack or a traffic loophole; there aren't any in here
  • You won't commit an hour a week — consistency is the whole mechanism
  • You already have a measured marketing system with a working scoreboard
  • You need platform-specific screenshots; this teaches procedure, not button locations

Why is it only $19.99?

Fair question. Manuals like this are usually sold for $200 and up, or given away free in exchange for a sales call.

We wrote it because most of our clients arrive not knowing what a customer is worth to them. That one gap makes every conversation harder and every campaign more expensive. Fixing it before we ever speak makes our actual work better.

So it's priced to be bought without thinking about it. If you run the whole thing yourself and never contact us, that's a good outcome — you'll have a working marketing system. If you get halfway and decide you'd rather hand the technical parts over, you'll be a far better client than someone who never did the arithmetic. Both endings work for us.

There's no upsell sequence, no $497 "advanced" version, and no subscription. One payment, two files, done.

Questions

What exactly do I get, and how?
A 95-page PDF and a fully editable Microsoft Word version of the same manual. The moment your payment goes through, Stripe sends you to a download page and emails your receipt. There's nothing to wait for and no login to create.
Will this work for my industry?
It's written for any small business rather than one niche, so the procedures hold whether you're a trades business, a clinic, a restaurant, an online store or a consultancy. What changes between industries is which channels earn their place — and SOP 09 through SOP 13 each tell you plainly when that channel is a poor fit for you.
Do I need to be technical?
No. The most technical procedure is SOP 05, installing analytics and call tracking, and it's written as numbered steps with the reasoning explained. That same SOP is also the one we most often suggest paying someone to do once — and it says so, in the manual.
How long before I see anything?
Part One takes two to three weeks at a few hours a week and changes your decision-making immediately, because you finish it knowing your maximum cost per customer. Assets and traffic work follows over the next six to eight weeks. A steady operating rhythm lands around ninety days. The manual gives you the full timetable and is honest about which channels are slow.
Do I need an advertising budget to use this?
No. Parts One, Two, Four and Five cost nothing but time, and they're where most of the early gain is. Paid channels are Part Three, and the manual explicitly tells you not to start them until your measurement and your website are ready.
Why is there a Word version?
So you can adapt it. Rename the procedures to match your team, delete the channels you'll never use, add your own steps, and hand it to staff as your internal marketing manual. The brand fonts are embedded, so it looks right on any machine.
Is it up to date?
This is Version 1.0, written in 2026. Platform interfaces and tool pricing drift constantly, and the manual says so directly. What doesn't drift is the arithmetic and the sequence — those have held through every platform change of the last decade.
What's your refund policy?
All sales are final. Because this is a digital product delivered in full the instant you pay, we don't offer refunds. That's why this page shows you six real interior pages, the complete table of contents, and an explicit list of people who shouldn't buy it — so you can decide before you pay rather than after. If your download fails or a file is corrupted, email info@boldwiredigital.com and we'll fix it straight away.
